Go Take a Hike - Migrations and Adaptations
Head outside for a stroll along the banks of the St. Johns River or one of it's tributaries. While we are enjoying the outdoors, we will talk about the history, ecology, and issues facing our St. Johns River.
In October, St. Johns Riverkeeper has partnered with Duval Audubon to discover migrating birds of the area. Duval Audubon Society's mission is Connecting people with nature, which they achieve through education, conservation, environmental leadership and community involvement. Learn about birds that come through the area on their yearly migration. Create your own Birding Field Guide beforehand and bring it with you to keep track of the birds you see. Don't forget your binoculars! Additional activities possible on site, and all materials will be distributed per family.
Waiver forms are required to be filled out by all participants. Form link will be in a 'Reminder' email sent prior to your Hike. Paper copies will also be available on site.
