Like you, St. Johns Riverkeeper has been paying close attention to news updates regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and will continue to be guided by science. These are difficult and unprecedented times. We are committed to working with our fellow nonprofit groups and community leaders to do our part to keep our river community safe.
All Riverkeeper-sponsored programming and participation in community events is currently suspended for the next month. The Anniversary Luncheon has been tentatively rescheduled to September 24.
With spring being the kickoff to our 20th Anniversary celebrations and numerous events, this was a harsh reality to confront. However, we must do what is necessary to ensure the safety of our members, volunteers, and staff and help prevent the spread of the virus.
The Riverkeeper staff has shifted to working remotely — but the necessary work of advocating for a clean and healthy St. Johns River will continue.
The good news? We're developing digital strategies and tools to help you and your family explore and learn about the natural wonders of the river and stay engaged with us. We must not forget about the importance of the river and our natural world to our own health and quality of life or the need to advocate for its protection. During this difficult time, our river and St. Johns Riverkeeper need you and your support more than ever.
Stay tuned — we'll have a more complete update for you soon about our work and how you can continue to help protect the St. Johns. If you want to reach any of our staff, please visit StJohnsRiverkeeper.org/about-us/our-team for contact information.

Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your generous and continued support in defending the St. Johns and advocating for its protection.
